Books & Blues: Performances by Local Blues LegendsBooks & Blues, a series of performances by local blues legends, will not only entertain but expand your knowledge about an important genre of American roots music. 

The Sugar Thieves. With their high-energy, soulful live shows, the Sugar Thieves have honed their brand of American roots music, creating a sound that is all their own. Saturday, November 19, 2-3 PM. Heroes Regional Park Library Yucca Room.

Bluesman Mike and the Blues Review Band. Formed out of a passion for the blues, this five-piece blues band goes back to the roots of blues music. Sunday, November 27, 2-4 PM. Foothills Library Roadrunner Room. 

Lucius Parr Band. Inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2021, Lucius has a rich history of music and artist development in Arizona and abroad. Monday, November 28, 6:30-7:30 PM. Main Library Auditorium. 

FINALE CONCERT: Tom Mein, Glenville Slim, Geo Bowman & House Party. This three-band show features a mix of R&B standards and original material. An icon of the blues, Geo is at the center of the Phoenix blues community. Sunday, December 11, 1-5 PM. Velma Teague Library 
(E. Lowell Rogers Amphitheatre in Murphy Park).
